The history of the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Radiobiology of the Faculty of Medicine and Biology (now the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Radiobiology named after Academician P.V. Sergeev of the Faculty of Medicine and Biology) began in 1968. From 1968 to 2007, the department was headed by Academician Pavel Vasil’evich Sergeev. Scientific research conducted by the department staff, postgraduates and diploma students was aimed at studying drug receptorology, molecular pharmacology of contrast agents, steroid hormones, addictive drugs, radiation pharmacology. The head of the department, academician P.V.
