The article is devoted to the scientific school of academician P.E. Lukomsky. Biographical information, information about students and associates, followers are provided. History of the development and formation of a scientific school. The role of the clinical school in domestic cardiology and the clinic of internal diseases is emphasized. The further development of the department in our time is described. P.E. Lukomsky’s successor was his student, an outstanding clinician, leader, V. A. Lyusov, who fully continued the traditions of the clinical school. The article describes the achievements of the department during the leadership of V.A. Lyusov, as well as his student I.G. Gordeev. The main directions of the department's activities are reflected.
