OPINION
Universal russian language curriculum for foreign medical students as a tool for professional education and effective academic adaptation: conceptual framework

The article summarizes the experience of creating Russian language curricula for foreign students of medical universities. It reviews the features of the curriculum as a tool for targeted simulation of professional education. The interaction between the departments and the integrative approach that adjusts the process of language learning to the current professional needs of foreign students to the greatest possible extent are given special consideration. The concept of the universal curriculum in present-day conditions has been suggested. It is defined as a flexible system designed to modify practical education for different educational purposes and initial language levels of students as well as for changing conditions of education while keeping the educational standard high.
