Scientific-practical conferences as a form of intra-cluster interaction in the educational process of medical university students.

Aim. The aim is to evaluate the importance of interuniversity scientific-practical conferences for improving the preparation of medical students for future professional activities in the field of outpatient care.

Materials and methods. An online survey was conducted of 19 people who had previously given oral presentations at one of the interuniversity conferences organized within the framework of the Scientific and Educational Medical Cluster of the Central Federal District "East European". The purpose of the survey was to identify the benefits that participants experienced as a result of their report at conferences and to reveal their interest in ambulatory medicine.

Results. The most significant benefits were increased motivation to study and deepen knowledge (average score - 9.4), as well as desire for development (9.4 points). The respondents rated the development of public speaking skills and increased interest in scientific activities as 9.2 and 9.3 points, respectively. The least significant benefit of participation in the conference was the development of communication skills (8.7 points). The outpatient focus of interuniversity conferences became the most important factor for students’ participation in conferences (9.5 points).

Conclusion. Various methods of scientific and professional training implemented by departments of outpatient therapy of the Faculty of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov and Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Burdenko give participants the opportunity to choose the most interesting option for taking part in scientific and practical work. The joint work of the departments within the framework of the Scientific and Educational Medical Cluster of the Central Federal District "East European" significantly expands the possibilities of preparing medical students for future professional activities in the outpatient field and increases their interest in scientific work.
